Objectives

Exchange best practices on the integration of the gender dimension in research and innovation contents and programmes, building on the mutual opening, through networking activities, of national and European initiatives on the use of sex and gender analysis in disciplines beyond social science and humanities. It collects information on policies and programmes integrating gender analysis in research at national and regional levels; develops a comprehensive description of existing programmes; produces a comparative analytical report; designs supporting tools for adapting the common best practices to transnational contexts; and develops a strategic framework for implementing transnational activities.

WP3 aims are:

  • To provide an overview of existing national/regional policies, programmes, plans and strategies, as well as related implementation tools and regulations, addressing the integration of sex and gender analysis in research and innovation funding structures, in the member states and associated countries participating in GENDER-NET, in the countries that have expressed an interest in joining the consortium, and in other relevant countries;
  • To provide a comparative analysis of the above identified policies, programmes, plans and implementing tools and regulations;
  • To promote the exchange and adoption of best practices on the integration of the gender dimension in research and innovation contents and programmes, building on the mutual opening of national and regional initiatives (i.e. exchange of information) through networking activities;
  • To develop common criteria, guidelines, recognition schemes, and other implementing tools and processes for transnational contexts;
  • To plan for strategic joint activities to be implemented through WP4.

Tasks

1. Create WP workplan, monitor progress

2. Develop data/information collection tools on national/regional policies, programmes, plans and strategies integrating gender analysis in research contents, collect the existing data, create a compendium and produce a comparative analysis report.

a) Developing data/information collection tools.

b) Collecting data/information and producing a comprehensive description of existing national /regional initiatives aimed at fostering the integration of sex and gender into research content.

c) Producing a comparative analysis report.

3. Designing support material for adapting common best practices to transnational contexts.

4. Develop a strategic framework for implementing transnational strategic activities.
